Cookies Layout

I love the pages made with the Elegant Edges cartridge, but I am not usually that creative.  I tend to think very literally and use cuts that reflect that, instead of abstract decorations.  So I challenged myself to use the cartridge.  Of course, I couldn't resist some very literal cuts, too!

This layout features our cookie-making pictures.  The blue background paper is DCWV.  I used a solid red to cut the accent from Elegant Edges, and mirror-imaged the second cut for the facing page.  I printed my journaling on a second sheet of the blue paper and cut strips.  "Cookies," the rolling pin, the mixer and apron were cut from From My Kitchen.

Of course I cut extra layers of the rolling pin for dimension.

I used silver metallic paper to accent the mixer.

I used a gingham paper for the apron, then plain red for the accents, I think the paper came from CM.  The pockets were popped up with foam tape.

  1. Nice layout! I really like the way you used the background from Elegant Edges. The From My Kitchen cuts are some of my favorites, too. Thanks for sharing!
